Easter Winter!

Wow! What another easterly blast we have had this weekend! I hope you have all managed to enjoy the white stuff once again and everyone in your families are safe and well. At this stage more snow is forecast overnight. It is my intention to open Pre-School tomorrow but please check the Pre-School facebook site and your emails. All children will need to bring in warm clothing, hats, gloves, change of clothes and layers!

Although not particularly Easter like in the weather, we will be forging ahead with everything Chick, bunny and egg themed. The children will be matching numbered half eggs to the correct amount; feeding the birds worms with tongs! ; going on numerous egg hunts (linking with patterns, initial sounds and numbers); looking for eggs around the village (if you live in a walkable distance from Pre-School and are willing to have an egg poked in your window let me know and we will pass one into you); exploring how we could help Humpty Dumpty from his eventual doom (encouraging critical thinking and problem solving); making Easter nests and many crafts that support mark making, creative development and use of one handed tools. On top of this we will be giving children the opportunity to freely explore opportunities for imaginative play, scissor skills, dough gym, mark making, small world play whilst supporting their communication skills and cooperation with others. Further information can be found on the entrance area.
